The Blue Ridge Juvenile Center Education Program is seeking a Science Teacher for the 2024-25 School Year.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

Required: Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited college or university and possess or be eligible to acquire a Virginia teaching license by the Commonwealth of Virginia and School Board with an endorsement in Secondary Science

 

 

BRJC Education Program is a collaborative community that empowers each student academically, socially and emotionally. The program provides safe, innovative, individualized instruction to small groups of learners, to encourage, support, inspire, and prepare them as confident, successful, global citizens.  

 

BRJC Education Program offers, 6-12 SOL core curriculum, on site GED testing, ISAEP, Art, PE, Greenhouse participation, Character Education, SOL testing and remediation, all diploma options, SAT/ACT prep, college placement exams, SPED services, certificate programs (OSHA, Servsafe, Ever-Fi), WISE testing, virtual simulators, hands on vocational opportunities, full service library, access to online learning such as APEX and Connexus, community college online classes through PVCC, and post-graduate support.
