Part-time 50% (3.63 hrs/day)

 

We are hiring a teacher for the last afternoon/early evening shift at Albemarle County's alternative school, The Center for Learning and Growth. Current Viriginia teaching certificate required - endorsement in middle and/or high school history, language arts and/or mathematics a plus. Candidate should be comfortable working in small groups or individually with students. Schedule within the afternoon/evening schedule is flexible.

 

The Center for Learning and Growth is the location of Albemarle County Public Schools alternative learning program. The program is facilitated by teachers who provide FOCUS (Flexible, Optimal, Customized, Understanding and Strategic) educational services. The staff provide a specialized short-term intervention for students requiring alternative placement in grades 6-12.
