Project Analyst -Temp: Job Summary

 

Albemarle County Public Schools is actively recruiting a skilled  Project Analyst to join our team. This position is a six to eight-month termed position based in the Human Resources Department in support of a broader organizational effort to implement an electronic timekeeping system. 

 

General Definition Of Work:

 

Conducts research, provides data, makes recommendations, and implements solutions to achieve project goals and objectives. Analyzes and practices effective communication strategies across programs, departments, community partners, and customers; fosters cooperative working relationships among County and School departments and acts as a liaison with various partner agencies. The position will primarily be responsible for working with key process owners in the planning, scheduling, and coordinating of all work related to the Kronos project to include internal/operational aspects of the project.

 

 The essential responsibilities and functions will be: 

  • Communicate system activities, plans, objectives, and goals with colleagues, managers, employees, County/School divisions and the public through a variety of method, such as orally, in writing, or through display;
  • Work with departments, schools, and generalists to ensure that policies and procedures are being enforced properly, look for trends, and suggest updates/changes to policies and practices. Build or deploy existing reports to meet data needs regarding users, supervisors, and benefits;
  • Work collaboratively with location/department-level supervisors and managers to develop and deliver reports and tools for analyzing time and leave usage;
  • Work with appropriate staff to ensure supervisor/employee training is up to date and all employees have had the training, to include identifying staff who need additional support/training;
  • Analyzes audiences and develops effective communication strategies;
  • Timely and effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors, process owners and project stakeholders, as appropriate;
  • Perform other related duties as required. 

 

Education and Experience: 

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major work in business or public administration; two years related experience.  Candidate must be highly proficient in Office 365 and a proven quick learner.

Physical Conditions of Work: 

Administrative work typically in an office setting. Possession of a valid appropriate driver's permit issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia in order to operate a vehicle for meetings at field offices.
