Summary
In close coordination with the Director of the Office of Equity and Inclusion, this position will support the institutionalization of Albemarle County’s commitment to equity and inclusion. The Coordinator of Equity and Accountability will partner in efforts to incorporate an equity lens into local government policies, strategies, and practices. This work will involve close and candid collaboration with staff across multiple departments as well as executive leadership, elected officials, nonprofit partners, and community members. The Coordinator of Equity and Accountability can expect to work in both data analysis and storytelling and will support the development and utilization of organizational equity assessments, metrics and indicators from which the County will measure future performance. This position will offer opportunities to work remotely.

Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in public administration, government, public policy, journalism, health administration, sociology, anthropology, statistics, economics, political science, business or related field supplemented with three years of administrative and/or supervisory experience in business or public policy. Three years of experience in providing research, statistical analysis, and evaluation with emphasis on direct experience in program administration, research and analysis. Advanced computer skills with commonly used office programs and intermediate computer skills on statistical software programs. A Master’s Degree in the above field(s) is preferred. Certification in Safe Space Training, Diversity and Inclusion desired.
Salary Range
The hiring salary range for this position is $56,165-$67,398 per year depending on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The position also provides excellent benefits including 12 paid holidays, paid vacation and sick leave, health insurance options with employer contribution, employer-paid life insurance, VRS retirement, and continuing education/training opportunities. This is a full time, FLSA Exempt position.
Internal candidates will receive pay adjustments in accordance with Local Government Personnel Policy,§P-60.
