Youth Entrepreneurship Facilitator

GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK:
Builds capacity for youth entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial thinking in the Division. Reports to the Director of Instruction and Innovation Programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Analysis, data collection, and documentation of existing ACPS entrepreneurial activity;
- Development of curriculum for entrepreneurial courses;
- Assist in the development and coordination of entrepreneurship-related events (workshops, summer programs, afterschool programs, and community events);
- Offer professional development for ACPS faculty and staff;
- Directly support and coach students pursuing entrepreneurial endeavors;
- Build CTE capacity through entrepreneurial activity
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Deep knowledge of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial thinking in a K-12 setting. Skilled in facilitating design thinking workshops for youth and professional development for faculty and staff. Skilled in event design, planning, and coordination. Effective in working with youth through project-based mentorship. Strong proficiency in digital technology.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Baccalaureate degree or experience equivalent to a baccalaureate degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Preferred major or concentration in entrepreneurship or innovation. Practical experience with venture creation and project incubation is required. Experience working with students, educators, and staff is preferred. Existing knowledge of the Charlottesville-Albemarle education stakeholders and environment is preferred. Extensive experience working with design processes and entrepreneurial thinking is required.

Will be evaluated on the ability and effectiveness to carry out the responsibilities as outlined. |
