Screening Interviews for anticipated School Principal positions
2017-18 School Year
Thank you for your interest in serving as a building-level leader in Albemarle County Public Schools. We are currently accepting applications for Screening Interviews for anticipated vacancies for Principals for the 2017-2018 school year. We seek innovative leaders who have a deep understanding of the Virginia Performance Standards for School Leaders, as well as a strong commitment to our School Division’s goal: All Albemarle County Public Schools students will graduate having actively mastered the lifelong-learning skills they need to succeed as 21st century learners, workers and citizens.
The screening interview is the first step in hiring process for school administrators and must be completed for consideration for actual vacancies.
Application Requirements
The following must be submitted as part of the application process. A screening interview will not be scheduled until all requirements are submitted.

• School Leadership Philosophy Statement
• Link to Electronic Multi-Media Portfolio (See below for more information.)
Who May Apply
All applicants must be hold (or be eligible by June 30, 2017) a Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in Administration and Supervision PK-12. Preference will be given to candidates with at least 3 years of experience as an assistant principal or comparable central office experience.
Multi-Media Portfolio
This portfolio is an opportunity for you to provide tangible evidence of your work at the optimal level, as well as to showcase your experiences as a school leader.
Portfolios should be uploaded to a cloud storage or website of your choice. A link to your portfolio must be included in the Social Media Contact Information section of your application. Hard copies, jump drives, and other physical storage devices will not be accepted.
