Classroom Teachers/Educators Needed for 2017-18 School Year!

Are you prepared and have the interest to "Unleash Students’ Potential?" We are currently seeking Classroom Teachers and Specialists for the 2017-2018 School Year! We invite all licensed teachers and those eligible for licensure by July 1, 2017 to submit their online application for consideration.

Purpose

The purpose of this process is to ensure that the candidates seeking a Classroom Teacher, Specialist position possess a sincere interest and understanding of our mission, vision, and goal.  This also includes licensed personnel such as School Counselors, Reading Specialists, Library Media Specialists, etc. It will also help us identify top talent in our applicant pool and prepare for actual vacancies as they become available. Finally, this process helps us to get to know applicants better. By submitting an application you will still need to apply for specific vacancies once posted. 

You only need to take part in one screening interview if you are endorsed in multiple areas. This is an annual process.  Please only apply if you have not yet taken part in a screening interview for this recruitment season. You must complete a screening interview before expressing interest in the individual positions listed on our site. 
 

Process

• Applicants will submit an on-line application from this posting. Please attach your resume to the application along with any other documentation you feel is helpful in us understanding your teaching credentials and skills. 

• Documents will be reviewed by Human Resources;

• Based on the outcome of the review, a screening interview may be scheduled or recommendations may be made for resubmission of materials. 

• Applicants must also apply for specific school-based vacancies as they become available. It is recommended that applicants set up their profile to allow “Job Alert” notifications to make you aware of Albemarle County Public Schools job openings.

• If you do not yet hold a VA teaching license please attach your current license and/or academic transcripts to help determine your endorsement eligibility.

Who May Apply

• All applicants must hold (or be eligible by July 1, 2017) a Virginia teaching license.

*Current teachers who are transferring are not required to participate in a screening.
